Overview
Operator role at CUPONING PULICIDAD S.L. based in the United Kingdom. This opening provides an opportunity to join the Process Operations team supporting Yorkshire Water and related sites.
Location
Roles are across sites in and around Castleford, Pontefract, and North Leeds. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance of these areas.
Job Type
Employment type: Full-time. Work pattern includes 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, within 07:00 to 18:00. Out-of-hours, weekend work, and bank holidays are required as part of a planned and scheduled standby rota. Some weekends may be required; flexibility outside core hours is essential.
What You Will Do (Responsibilities)
- React to RTS alarms and pollution incidents; gather evidence at suspected pollution incidents.
- Lift, check, and unblock pumps; take samples, examine results, and troubleshoot issues impacting samples.
- Raise follow-on work for internal support services.
What You Will Need (Skills, Experience, and Training)
- Full training on mandatory courses provided; company van, tools, equipment, Toughbook, mobile phone, sat nav, and corporate clothing provided.
- Practical mindset; enjoy outdoor work in all weathers; hands-on approach to tasks.
- Ability to work alone and in a team; strong time management and self-management.
- Willingness to question unsafe practices and report to management; good problem-solving, decision-making, communication, and positive attitude.
- Experience with IT systems (e.g., Word) for capturing site information on Toughbook.
- Full valid UK driving licence required (no more than 6 points).
There is a requirement to carry out occasional work in confined spaces; completion of a medical examination by the Occupational Health Department and related training is essential. The candidate must pass medical criteria including BMI, vision, blood pressure, hearing, and spirometry tests.
