Location: We currently have vacancies for a Network Operation Technician to join the Customer Field Services department to cover areas including Leeds, Colburn, Ripon, and York. Applicants should live within a reasonable commuting distance from our Knostrop wastewater site and be committed to helping Yorkshire Water provide excellent service.
Work type: These are 4 permanent roles working rotational 40-hour shifts on a 4 on 4 off basis, which may include late, early, and weekend work patterns.

Where You Fit In: As a Network Operation Technician, you will deliver first-time fixes and same-day solutions to customer and environmental issues, and manage network maintenance to prevent escapes. You will work in the field, ensuring quality, safety, and efficiency in your work, collaborating with teams and partners, and using IT systems for investigations and reporting. Flexibility to work various shifts and in confined spaces is required, along with a valid driving license.
Essential Skills & Qualifications: Practical mindset, outdoor work comfort, face-to-face customer service experience, ability to develop relationships, influence outcomes, and make decisions. Fault diagnosis, problem-solving, basic IT skills, and flexibility in working hours are essential. Medical clearance for hazardous environments and a valid driving license are required.
Beneficial Skills: Understanding of sewerage systems, IT competency, and experience in water or utility sectors are advantageous.
