Field Operations Manager β Fixed Term Contract until November 2026
Location: Covering Hull and Wolds area
Work type: Temporary, 37 hours per week, Monday β Friday
Yorkshire Water, a Water Utility Company based in the Yorkshire region of England, is looking for a Field Operations Manager to join the Water Service Delivery Team. This role supports delivering high-quality service to customers and contributing to health, safety, regulatory compliance, and operational performance.

Where You Fit In
The Field Operations Manager drives performance and direction through leadership of a team of operational and technical colleagues, ensuring safe and efficient delivery of high-quality water services and customer experience. Working with the Manager of Field Operations and Asset Management, you will help deliver the strategy and changes needed to achieve AMP8 targets, delivering asset and operational excellence, health and safety, regulatory compliance, and business plan outperformance. You will lead with energy to maximize team performance and deliver sustainable outperformance for Yorkshire Water.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop a team of operational and technical colleagues to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality water service.
- Collaborate with Asset Management to implement strategy and changes to hit performance targets in AMP8.
- Drive world-class asset and operational excellence across Yorkshire Water assets.
- Promote health and safety excellence and regulatory compliance; improve operational efficiency and business plan delivery.
- Model strong leadership, accountability, and customer-focused service delivery.
What Skills & Qualifications You Will Need
- Understanding of water networks and management of above- and below-ground assets
- Experience or recognition within the water industry, regulators, or utility sector
- Strong operational leadership with analytical and creative problem-solving abilities
- Commitment to outstanding safety management and customer service
- Proven ability to deliver successful change in a sustainable manner
- Strong networking and influencing skills
- Ability to understand data and translate into effective team strategies
You Will Also Benefit From Having
- Good understanding of water operational structures and processes
- Understanding of regulatory requirements for WASCs
- Understanding of the Water Act and the Competition Act
