Industrial Electrician at Yorkshire Water, a Water Utility Company based in the Yorkshire region of England. This is a mobile worker role within the Maintenance Department of the Wastewater business area, carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across wastewater treatment and pumping installations.
Responsibilities
- Undertake maintenance of Electrical and Mechanical assets across wastewater treatment and pumping installations.
- Work as part of a Maintenance Team delivering Planned & Reactive maintenance and respond to emergency calls (on-call rota).
- Drive to sites across the Yorkshire Region to deliver asset reliability through effective decision making.
- Work unsupervised in remote locations, completing planned and reactive electrical tasks within agreed timescales, quality and cost parameters.
- Manage and prioritise own workload; build and maintain relationships with operational customers, colleagues, suppliers and contract partners.
- Adhere to Health and Safety policy, identify hazards, implement mitigations and report onto the hazard database.
- Supervise approved Contract Partners; provide risk assessments and method statements where a permit to work is required.
- Use Toughbook/iPad to capture all work activity and job status in line with workflow processes.
- Assist in development and training of apprentices and less experienced team members; identify ways to improve maintenance services.
- Install and commission new plant and equipment to relevant standards; diagnose and repair faults on systems and plant.
- Identify and report follow-on work or areas for enhancement; conduct risk assessments and create method statements as required.
- Specify parts and equipment required for procurement as part of day-to-day role.
Location
Two Industrial Electricians are being recruited to work across the Tadcaster/Castleford and Hull regions.
Work type & Schedule
Permanent, 37 hours per week. Out-of-hours, weekend working.
