We are currently seeking an experienced PQQ & Submissions Manager to join our high performing team. The PQQ & Submissions Manager (Bid Manager) will lead, manage, coordinate and write content for bids and proposals for Cunningham. You will produce standard company information, prepare PQQ submissions and draft tender responses, conveying complex construction proposals with clarity.

LOCATION: Newry
CONTRACT TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent
HOURS: Monday – Friday (8am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-2.30pm Fridays)
Role Responsibilities
- Lead Bids - Manage submissions for national frameworks and key client submissions
- Strategy Development - Shape bid strategies and campaigns to enhance win potential
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Work with Client Framework Managers, Sector Leads, and technical teams to align with client needs
- Document Preparation - Produce compelling bid plans and deliverables
- Innovation - Drive continuous improvement in bid writing and management
- Reviewing web portals for PQQ/Tender opportunities in Ireland, UK and Europe
- Analysing PQQ/Tender for viability
- Creating/updating PQQ/Tender information on company IT systems
- Preparing written responses to PQQ/Tender questions
- Liaising with internal and external parties to obtain information for submissions
- Coordinating the clarification and RFI process
- Proof-reading colleagues’ work
- Preparing PowerPoint presentations for client interviews
- Creating/updating standard marketing information
- Attending site visits/events and participating in PQQ/Tender interviews
- Undertake all relevant training and development activities as required
The Candidate Qualifications & Experience
- A minimum of 8 years previous experience in a bid management or work winning role within the Construction or Civil Engineering industry
- Extensive construction market knowledge in Ireland, UK and Mainland Europe
- Enthusiastic and keen to develop
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent IT and creative presentation skills
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure and to strict timescales
- Demonstrates excellent time management and prioritisation of workload
- Ability to work on own initiative

Additional information
All candidates must have the Right to Work in the UK and in the Republic of Ireland at the time of application. Proof of this will be required for any candidate who is successful in the role. This role will at times require working in other locations, including construction sites or at client offices. A degree of flexibility is therefore required.
