Environmental Manager
Join Cunningham, one of Ireland’s award‑winning building and civil engineering contractors, as an experienced Environmental Manager.
The role drives environmental performance across our portfolio and supports sustainability strategy.

- Monday – Friday (8 am – 5 pm Monday – Thursday, 8 am – 2:30 pm Friday)

Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and execution of company‑wide environmental projects.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and risks.
- Implement a project‑management structure to support environmental strategy.
- Monitor and report on project progress.
- Stay informed on environmental and sustainability trends and best practices.
- Identify and engage stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate environmental considerations.
- Develop and implement staff engagement campaigns.
- Create KPIs to measure environmental impact and engagement success.
- Coordinate sustainability champions or green teams across retail networks.
- Recommend process improvements.
- Assist with carbon footprint reporting and development.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Communications, Project Management, or related field (preferred).
- Experience managing projects, preferably in construction sustainability.
- Ability to coordinate across teams and translate project goals into practical actions.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects with attention to detail and strategic oversight.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Power Point.

- Excellent communicator, able to convey complex information clearly.
- Ability to work as part of cross‑functional teams.
- Highly organized and able to manage tasks and deadlines.
- Proficient troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
