We are currently seeking an experienced and talented Design Manager to join our high performing team. The Design Manager will be responsible for managing the overall design of the projects allocated to them, which will include appointing, managing and monitoring progress of consultants, designers and specialist sub-contractors. The Design Manager will ensure that the design is progressed in such a manner as to achieve all of the contracted deliverables, whilst maximising commercial opportunities and ensuring that all design information is released in line with the requirements of the project construction programme and procurement schedule.

REPORTING TO: Divisional Director

LOCATION: Newry

CONTRACT TYPE: Full-Time, Permanent

HOURS: Monday – Friday (8am-5pm Monday-Thursday, 8am-2.30pm Fridays)

Role Responsibilities:

  • Prepare design programmes and Information Release Schedules, get designers and specialist sub-contractor buy-in to these timescales and then manage the process and monitor progress during the course of the project.
  • Act as the Project Information Manager.
