We are seeking an experienced Protection & Control (P&C) Design Engineer to join Cundall’s growing Power Systems team. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary group of engineers delivering detailed P&C designs across a range of high-voltage projects — from new-build AIS/GIS substations (33kV–400kV) to renewals, retrofits, and the integration of renewable energy, storage, and critical infrastructure schemes. The Role
- Key Responsibilities
- Design Deliverables: Produce P&C drawings including single line diagrams, three line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, I/O lists, interlocking schemes, panel GA drawings, and multicore/LAN/FO schedules.
- Collaboration & Delivery: Liaise with internal teams, clients, and contractors. Attend technical meetings with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Collaborate across disciplines (civil, structural, primary plant, MEP) to deliver fully integrated solutions.
- Quality & Assurance: Manage drawing revisions and document control. Check vendor drawings for accuracy and consistency. Undertake site visits (as required) to assess constructability and support delivery. Ensure compliance with CDM and health & safety regulations.
