We now have a rare opportunity for an internal candidate to join our Power Systems team and develop skills in Protection & Control (P&C) – the systems that act as the \”nervous system\” of the grid, constantly monitoring and controlling how electricity flows.

  • Panel general arrangement drawings
  • Circuit and wiring diagrams
  • Cable and connection drawings

You’ll learn how to interpret engineering sketches, develop P&C schematics, and play a vital role in the design of substations and other high‑voltage infrastructure.

We’re looking for someone motivated, curious, and keen to build on their existing CAD skills to become a specialist P&C CAD Technician. This is your chance to transfer your current CAD experience into a new area of engineering and bring sound knowledge of AutoCAD to the team.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of technical drawings

Desirable Skills

  • Understanding of electrical schematic drawings
  • Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment

Who This Would Suit

This role would suit existing CAD/Revit technicians from other disciplines, or engineers up to intermediate grade who want to move into a highly specialised and fast‑growing area of power engineering.
