Our Critical Systems teams have delivered projects such as an energy‑efficient data centre for Facebook; a summer placement will allow you to play a key role in our next big project.
The Role You’ll Play
We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering student to join our team for a Summer Placement in London, starting in 2026. It is an excellent opportunity to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction projects in the UK and worldwide. Under the guidance of our expert engineers this role will involve assisting the design team with detailed mechanical critical systems design and analysis, translating clients’ needs into building, facility and service designs, all with sustainability at the front. You’ll work closely with colleagues across our multi‑disciplinary practice, providing specialist consultancy input on projects spanning education, healthcare, workplace, retail and critical systems such as data centres.
The Skills You’ll Bring
- On track to achieve a 2:1 or above.
- Working towards a degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
- Preferably in your penultimate year of study.
- Passion for improving the built environment.
- Interest in design and sustainable design principles.
