This is an excellent opportunity for a highly experienced and client-focused Structural Engineer to join our structures group. The right candidate will be a key member of our local structural disciplinary service, whilst playing a key role in helping extend our service across the UK and leading the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious construction projects, across a variety of sectors.
Closely collaborating with the rest of global structures teams, the successful candidate will take responsibility for driving forward business development with new and existing client relationships in the local and UK market, and will lead in the delivery of local and international structural engineering projects. This role offers the successful applicant managerial and leadership responsibility for the development of our local structural engineering team, as well as wider general regional structural disciplinary responsibilities.
The role will be best suited to technically-orientated structural engineers as well as very ambitious team leaders who have experience in the operational and client-focusing aspects of the role.
A chartered civil/structural engineer (CEng or equivalent), you will be accredited with a degree in structural or civil engineering and will have gained significant practical design experience of structural engineering within a multi-disciplinary international consultancy environment, and an accomplished level of relevant hands-on skills in advanced structural analysis and essential structural analytical software such as Tekla and Tedds. Awareness/knowledge of advanced computational design and visual programming approaches and tools for structural engineering, such as Grasshopper is highly desirable.
In your career to-date, you have demonstrated a solid track record in structural engineering design, including previous experience of working on either medium or large sizes projects. You are proficient in designing in all types of common structural materials and forms, and have proven experience leading projects and interacting and developing good relationships with clients.
