Join our Building Services Team at Cundall in Birmingham to produce 2D CAD drawings for RIBA Stages 2-4 MEP Design across a wide range of exciting local and international building projects. Work within our Autodesk AutoCAD templates and design standards, and explore opportunities to use additional digital engineering tools to support the design process.
The Team Cundall’s Building Services Team prides itself on an exemplary track record of designing innovative and sustainable built‑environment solutions that are efficient, cost‑effective, and minimise the use of natural resources. Our Birmingham office offers a pro‑active, collaborative approach to skill development and professional excellence.
The Skills:
- Background in Building Services with experience in Mechanical, Electrical & Public Health disciplines.
- Educated to HNC level or higher in the subject.
- Strong practical experience using AutoCAD in a similar role at a consultancy or specialist MEP contractor.
- Ability to work to Cundall standards and templates, producing drawings from mark‑ups as required (sketches, Bluebeam PDFs).
- Produce coordinated MEP services drawings that fit within building constraints.
- Understanding of the RIBA plan of works, BSRIA BG6, and ISO 19650 processes.
- Skilled in planning and organising workload, communicating with engineers, technicians and BIM managers, and working under pressure to tight deadlines.
