The Role You'll Play
We are looking for a Power Systems student to join our team in Manchester for a Summer Placement in 2026. Your role will involve designing medium and high voltage power systems and utilising industry-recognised power systems analysis software. Joining our vastly experienced technical experts, you will have ample opportunities to grow your knowledge, contribute to the success of our team, and progress your career.
You will be involved in assisting with various tasks such as:
- Producing engineering designs, calculations, and specifications using appropriate technical software.
- Utilise power systems software to model complex networks and run advanced power system studies.
- Prepare technical reports in accordance with clients' briefs.
- Undertake the production of calculations, specifications, drawings, and reports.
- Attend and participate in client and project meetings.
- Undertake site visits to monitor the progress of works and address any issues.
- Correspond with external parties regarding information and technical queries.
- Comply with project management, operational, environmental, and health and safety procedures.
The Skills You'll Bring

- Working towards a degree in Power Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field.
