Graduate Fire Consultant role at Cundall.

The Role You\’ll Play

In this Graduate Fire Consultant role, you’ll join a team that designs innovative and sustainable fire engineering solutions for projects in the UK, Ireland and worldwide. You will work closely with colleagues across a multi-disciplinary practice to provide specialist consultancy input on projects across sectors including Education, Healthcare, Critical Systems and Retail.

You will carry out detailed fire engineering design and analysis, fire hazard identification and fire risk assessment, smoke control design and smoke plume modelling, and develop computer simulations of fire dynamics and fire spread. Over time you may assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop, with support toward Chartership.

The Skills You’ll Bring

  • On target to achieve at least a 2:2 degree.
  • Desirable if accredited with or on course to achieve a BEng/MEng degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject.
  • Keen interest in fire engineering, fire systems design and analysis for the built environment. Ideally you’ll have some relevant work experience, placement or internship.
  • Organised and methodical in managing tasks and priorities, with ability to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborative in nature with strong written and verbal communication skills; able to empathise with clients’ needs and work with internal and external stakeholders. Proactive and positive attitude.
