This is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to join our Newcastle office to play a leading role in the development of our team and the design of some of the most exciting and prestigious projects in the UK and worldwide.

Working alongside a team of specialist engineers and technicians, as well as colleagues across a range of various engineering disciplines, you will ensure the delivery of technically excellent projects. You will take responsibility for all aspects of design across a numerous and varied portfolio of civil engineering projects, concerned predominantly with infrastructure within the built environment.

You will have the opportunity over time to assume greater levels of responsibility and autonomy as your professional skills develop and will be supported towards Chartership (CEng).

The Skills

Educated to degree level in Civil Engineering (MEng or BEng), and working towards achieving chartership with the Institution of Civil Engineers (CEng or equivalent), you should have demonstrable experience in a Civil Engineering role within a consultancy environment, and be well versed in relevant civil design software such as AutoCAD, Flow, MicroDrainage and Civil 3D.

You should have some knowledge of the local construction market with relevant experience in civil engineering design relating to the built environment, including the design of infrastructure (for example roads, drainage, flood risk assessments, pavements, public realm, earthworks, utility infrastructure) for both highway and drainage authorities.
