Cundall’s global presence allows our Civil Engineers to be involved in many challenging and exciting building projects. Working across a variety of industry sectors, our Civil and Structural teams are renowned for producing innovative and award-winning sustainable engineering solutions throughout the lifecycle of any building project.
As a medium-sized but truly international consultancy, we are big enough to provide a wide range of challenging projects for our staff, but still at a size where our students can be treated as individuals and given real responsibility at an early stage.
The Role: We are recruiting talented and creative engineering students to join our team for a Year in Industry. It is an excellent opportunity for a Civil Engineer to work on the design of some of the most exciting construction design projects in the UK and worldwide. Under the guidance of our team of expert engineers, this wide-ranging role will see you carrying out detailed structural engineering design and analysis, water flow and highways design including flood risk assessments, hydrological assessments, road horizontal and vertical alignment, and earthworks analysis.
The Skills: Individuals who are interested in the Year in Industry opportunities that we have available will need to be:
- On track to achieve a 2:1 or above
- Working towards a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Preferably in your second or third year of study
- Have a passion for improving the built environment
- Be interested in design and, in particular, sustainable design principles
