We are looking for an enthusiastic Finance Apprentice to join our team specializing in Finance for our Cummins Generator Technologies business unit in Peterborough. During your apprenticeship with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

Responsibilities

  • Post monthly and quarterly journal entries
  • Prepare Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support with close checks
  • Manual entry of bank payments and cashbook entries
  • Support to maintain lease system and Fixed Asset (Addition/ Disposal)
  • Complete monthly VAT returns

Qualifications

  • Obtained equivalent of GCSEs in Math’s, English Language and literature grade 5/B or above including a 4/C or above in 3 other subjects taken
  • A Level equivalent qualification in Math’s or Accounting/Finance related field or an AAT Level 2
  • Proficient IT and MS office skills (including Excel)
  • Good communication skills and reliable
  • Proactive and action orientated
  • Detail orientated and organised to manage own workload
