We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our Power Systems Business Segment in Daventry. This is a permanent role, working 37.5 hours per week on a three-rotational shift pattern, ensuring you have variety and balance in your working schedule.

Shift Patterns:

  • Morning Shift: Monday to Friday, 07.00am – 3.00pm
  • Mid Shift: Monday to Thursday, 3.00pm – 11.00pm and Friday 10.30pm finish
  • Night Shift: Sunday to Thursday, 11.00pm – 07.00am

Competitive Salary Package: Up to £46,000 (depending on experience), plus shift allowance, overtime, annual bonus, and a Cummins Reward Scheme.

What You'll Do: As a Maintenance Technician, your role will be pivotal to keeping our operations running smoothly and safely. You'll:

  • Safely undertake a full range of maintenance duties within a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Work predominantly in the Assembly, Test and Trim areas ensuring key equipment is returned to production in a timely manner.
  • Fault find and repair plant and machinery including automated lines, nut runners, test cells.
  • Ensure all equipment is functioning correctly and efficiently after job completion.
  • Complete PPMs to schedule in a timely manner.
  • Respond promptly to events.
  • Review equipment to pre-empt and prevent equipment failure.
  • Raise requisitions for equipment spares in line with company cost, quality and delivery requirements and submit to supervisor for approval.
  • Respond within skill boundaries for emergency procedure events.
  • Liaise closely with Operation's Supervisors on priorities and initiate analysis of data to support corrective engineering work.
  • Support team operation and assist/train others as appropriate.
  • Follow safe systems of work to complete tasks including working in confined space/at heights, LOTO where necessary.

About You: To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Recognised apprenticeship (Time served electrician or mechanical fitter).
  • Experience in PPM techniques.
  • Experience of automated lines (test cells preferable, Siemens S7 PLC knowledge an advantage).
  • Experience in working within Safe systems of work (LOTO, Working at height, Confined spaces).
  • Computer literate (Maximo, Lotus Notes, Oracle).
  • Able to follow a systematic problem solving process.
  • Robotics experience preferred.
