Overview

In this role you will own key accounting processes for the Power Systems unit, ensuring accurate daily entries and successful quarterly audits. You will prepare PSA returns and analyze PII variances to support informed decision-making. You will manage payroll activities, financial closes, and monthly/quarterly corporate reporting to keep stakeholders informed. You will lead the Kent site close-the-books process and contribute to timely, compliant tax reporting. Responsibilities

  • Own lease accounting and ensure accurate day-to-day maintenance and quarterly audits
  • Prepare PAYE settlement agreement (PSA) returns with precision
  • Analyze monthly PII variances and report insights
  • Execute payroll processes including journals, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Complete monthly/quarterly corporate reports in Financial Close Manager
  • Manage Kent site close-the-books process, including review file prep and submission
  • Prepare Balance Sheet reviews for month-end close meetings
  • Prepare annual Tax Pack for Daventry and Kent

Key requirements

  • Understand Financial Regulations and ensure compliance across tax, banking, pension, and local accounting
  • Effective communication of financial results to stakeholders
  • Proficient in financial analysis with ability to identify trends, variances, and risks
  • Strengthen internal controls and develop remediation plans
  • Some relevant professional work experience in Accounting/Finance
  • College, university, or equivalent degree in Accounting, Finance or related field
