Safety, Health & Environment (SHE) Manager to lead the site's SHE strategy and drive continuous improvement across a busy manufacturing operation.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced SHE professional to join a business committed to operational excellence, safety and sustainability, where you'll work closely with the leadership team to develop a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with UK legislation and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the site's Safety, Health and Environmental strategy.
Ensure compliance with UK SHE legislation and company standards.
Develop and continuously improve SHE management systems.
Provide expert SHE advice and guidance to managers and operational teams.
Lead incident investigations and implement effective corrective actions.
Drive behavioural safety initiatives and employee engagement.
Monitor SHE performance through audits, inspections and KPI reporting.
Manage environmental compliance, including permits, waste and sustainability initiatives.
Support operational and capital projects through effective risk management.
Coach and influence leaders to embed a positive SHE culture.
About You You'll have: A minimum of five years' management experience within a manufacturing or process industry environment.
A degree (or equivalent) in a relevant scientific discipline.
A NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent Level 6 qualification).
Strong knowledge of UK Health, Safety and Environmental legislation.
Experience developing and improving SHE management systems.
Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills.
Experience leading incident investigations and delivering measurable SHE improvements.
