The Role
Reporting directly to the Sales Director, the Logistics Supervisor will take ownership of the day-to-day running of outbound equipment sales shipments and collections. This is a pivotal role where you’ll oversee operations, coordinate with transport partners, and ensure a seamless delivery experience for customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing daily outbound shipments and collections
- Coordinating delivery schedules with third-party transport providers
- Acting as the main point of contact for couriers and customers
- Overseeing daily logistics operations and handling enquiries
- Communicating any changes, additional charges, or issues promptly
- Raising and managing purchase orders and shipment documentation
- Handling damage claims with couriers
- Monitoring and chasing outstanding collections and returns
About You
We’re looking for a dependable and organised individual who can confidently manage priorities and support a busy logistics function. You’ll ideally demonstrate:
- Strong administration, organisation, and customer service skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good IT skills (experience with ERP systems such as Microsoft Navision is beneficial but not essential)
- The ability to prioritise workload and make effective decisions quickly
- A proactive approach with the ability to use initiative
- Reliability and a high standard of work
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- The ability to work both independently and as part of a team
