We’re working with a well-established organisation that is looking for a People & Culture Advisor to join its team, providing trusted HR advice, supporting managers and employees, and contributing to a positive, inclusive and high-performing working environment.
The Role
As a People & Culture Advisor, you’ll provide a broad range of HR support across the organisation, including:
- Providing advice and guidance to managers and employees across employee relations, performance, probation, absence, organisational change and other HR matters.
- Supporting disciplinaries, grievances, investigations, hearings and appeals, ensuring processes are fair, consistent and legally compliant.
- Supporting recruitment and safer recruitment processes, delivering a positive experience for candidates and hiring managers.
- Advising on learning, development, induction and performance reviews, helping identify skills gaps and training needs.
- Supporting the delivery of learning and development initiatives and maintaining relevant skills audits, training records and analysis.
- Contributing to HR policy development and continuous improvement of People & Culture processes.
- Supporting equality, diversity and inclusion, employee wellbeing and wider People & Culture initiatives.
- Building strong relationships across the organisation and providing a professional, approachable and solutions-focused HR service.
What we're looking for
We’re looking for an HR professional with experience working in a generalist HR environment, who is confident providing advice and support to both managers and employees.
You’ll ideally have
- Previous experience working in a generalist HR/People role.
- CIPD qualification or be working towards one.
- Experience providing HR advice, coaching and support.
- Knowledge of employee relations processes and employment legislation.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills and experience using HR systems.
- The ability to manage competing priorities and work to tight deadlines.
- A solutions-focused approach and the confidence to challenge and advise where appropriate.
You’ll be approachable, collaborative and people-focused, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the organisation.
