This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of a well-established personal tax portfolio within a friendly and collaborative team. You'll play a key role in delivering expert advice and exceptional service to a broad range of clients, including company directors, business owners and high-net-worth individuals.
The role:
- Managing a substantial portfolio of personal tax clients
- Preparing and reviewing approximately 700 personal income tax returns
- Advising clients on personal income tax matters and tax planning opportunities
- Providing guidance on Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax matters
- Preparing and reviewing P11Ds and advising on benefits in kind
- Building strong relationships with clients and acting as a trusted adviser
- Working closely with colleagues across the wider tax and accounts teams
- Ensuring compliance with changing legislation and identifying opportunities to add value to clients
- Supporting process improvements and maintaining high standards of client service
About you:
- Previous experience within personal tax, ideally gained within an accountancy practice environment
- ATT qualified, studying towards ATT or qualified by experience
- Strong technical knowledge of personal taxation, including Capital Gains Tax and Inheritance Tax
- Experience of preparing and reviewing personal tax returns and P11Ds
- Excellent attention to detail and a highly organised approach
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build lasting client relationships
- A proactive, service-focused mindset and the confidence to advise and support clients effectively
