Assembly Operative

Cummins Mellor are recruiting an Assembly Operative to join one of the world\’s leading motor and gearmotor manufacturers in Blackburn. The company has been established since 1964 and has experienced continuous growth.

The company serves clients as far afield as North America, Australia, and Japan. This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person, as the company is well known and genuine progression is available to staff.

What\’s in it for you?

• Hours are Monday – Thursday, 9.5 hours per day with 30 minutes unpaid for lunch, plus 10-minute breaks in the morning and afternoon. (Closed Fridays)
• Most employees work 07:15 to 16:15, but there is flexibility on start and finish times.
• £12.58 per hour starting salary

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Good dexterity
• Assembling experience
• Eagerness to progress
• Soldering experience (not essential)
• Great communication skills
• Ability to work with small parts
