The predicted salary is between 24000 - 36000 £ per year.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Accounts Payable Assistant to support and work with the Accounts Payable team to process purchase invoices for the Group, in accordance with the requirements for the business.
As an Accounts Payable Assistant you will be responsible for:
- Support the finance function in the processing of purchase invoices (2,500+/month)
- Working closely with the finance and Accounts Payable team to provide support
- Responsible for specific suppliers, ensuring accounts are reconciled in a timely manner
- Communicate with suppliers and stakeholders in a professional manner, ensuring correspondence is processed promptly and escalate where necessary
- Support the management team to ensure best practice and the smooth running of the Accounts Payable systems
- Ensure supplier data is correct & up to date
- Answering the telephone & dealing with queries efficiently
- To undertake any administrative tasks/projects as required to aid the function of the team
As an Accounts Payable Assistant you will need:
- Experience within a similar position is essential
- Experience with financial systems - SAP would be an advantage
- Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- High attention to detail, excellent at multitasking and highly organised
- Flexible, enthusiastic and can do attitude
- Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
- A minimum of 4 GCSE grades at C (grade 4) or above including Maths & English
- Must be computer literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft package
- Strong excel skills, a familiarity with formulas and pivot tables is desirable
