About the role
As Finance Assistant, you'll support the wider finance function with a broad range of responsibilities across sales ledger, credit control, reconciliations and month-end activities. This is a varied role where accuracy, organisation and communication are key. Your responsibilities will include:
- Raising customer invoices and credit notes
- Managing the sales ledger and supporting credit control activities
- Reconciling customer and balance sheet accounts
- Assisting with month-end processes and management accounts
- Processing employee expenses
- Supporting intercompany transactions and reconciliations
- Maintaining accurate financial records using Sage Intacct
- Producing finance reports and supporting audit requirements
- Assisting with continuous improvement projects across the finance function
About you
We're looking for someone who enjoys working as part of a team and takes pride in producing accurate work. You'll ideally have:
- AAT Level 3 qualification, with Level 4 preferred
- Previous experience in a finance or accounts role
- Experience of sales ledger and credit control
- Strong reconciliation skills and excellent attention to detail
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A proactive approach with a willingness to learn and support colleagues
