Are you ready to take the next step in your import/export career with a growing national business? We’re looking for a proactive and detail-driven Import/Export Administrator to join our Burnley-based team and play a vital role in supporting international supply chain operations.
About the Role: As Import/Export Administrator, you’ll work closely with the Operations Director and the wider logistics and purchasing teams. You’ll coordinate the movement of goods across international borders, manage documentation, liaise with freight partners, and ensure smooth, compliant, and cost-effective import and export processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinating all import and export shipments in line with company and regulatory requirements
- Preparing and processing shipping and customs documentation
- Liaising with international suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs agents to ensure timely deliveries
- Monitoring shipment progress and resolving any delays or discrepancies
- Managing stock movements and supporting inventory control
- Maintaining accurate records for audit and compliance purposes
- Assisting with supplier performance reviews and identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and cost control
What We’re Looking For:
- Previous experience in an import/export, logistics, or supply chain administration role
- Strong understanding of international shipping procedures and documentation
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build strong supplier and freight partner relationships
