Are you an experienced Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper looking for a short-term, part-time temporary opportunity?
We're recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing business for an
Accounts & Payroll Administrator to join their friendly finance team on a temporary basis for around one month, working 3 days per week .
This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same.

The Role
As the Accounts & Payroll Administrator, you'll play an important role supporting the finance team with a broad range of accounting and payroll duties, helping to keep everything running smoothly throughout the assignment.
Your day-to-day will include
- Processing purchase ledger invoices and supplier payments.
- Posting sales ledger receipts and maintaining accurate financial records.
- Handling supplier queries and resolving invoice discrepancies.
- Assisting with payroll administration and payroll processing.
- Processing employee expenses and posting transactions to the ledger.
- Maintaining cash books and financial records.
- Producing and updating sales, stock and purchase reports.
- Maintaining weekly and monthly Excel spreadsheets and management reports.
- Providing general administrative support to the wider finance team.
- Supporting colleagues across the business as required.
About You
You'll be organised, proactive and comfortable working independently within a busy finance environment.
We're looking for someone with
- Previous experience within an Accounts Assistant, Bookkeeping or Finance Administration role.
- A good understanding of purchase ledger and sales ledger processes.
- Experience supporting payroll or payroll administration is highly desirable.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with spreadsheets.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- The ability to prioritise workloads and manage multiple tasks.
- A positive, flexible attitude and a willingness to help wherever needed.
- Experience using Sage 200 would be advantageous but isn't essential.
