The Procurement Apprentice role is a developmental position within the Global Procurement Organisation. On completion of this apprenticeship, you will gain an administration assistant level 2, with the opportunity to progress onto the Business Administration level 3 qualification.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team specialising in Procurement for our Corporate Business in Huddersfield, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organisation operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Performing administrative tasks according to established guidelines and procedures so these activities are completed accurately and on time.
  • Completing data analysis, using analytical problem-solving tools to draw conclusions and communicate meaningful patterns that drive business insights and assess quality of data.
  • Transcribing, typing, formatting and distributing a variety of material (e.g., correspondence, contracts, meeting minutes, reports and presentations) using word processing, presentation, graphics and spreadsheet software.
  • Coordinating internal and external meetings, including scheduling meeting times, making travel arrangements for attendees, and ensuring that various meeting amenities are available.
  • Arranging and hosting site visits of suppliers or colleagues.
  • Any other reasonable duties which may be required by the company from time to time, as instructed by or under the direction of your immediate supervisor.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A*- C (level 4-9): 5/B or above for English language and Mathematics.
  • Action oriented, taking on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
  • Competent use of Microsoft software packages such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
  • Effective communication, developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
