We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Systems Analyst placement student to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for our Distribution Business Segment in Wellingborough, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential. This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer ****. The requirements are for the successful candidate to be on-site 3 days per week, so it is important that you can relocate, or be within a commutable distance to site.
RESPONSIBILITIESIn this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Analysis of business problems, using business analysis tools and techniques whilst driving business process improvement initiatives.
- Identifying, designing, evaluating, and building IT solutions to meet the needs of our business stakeholders.
- Leading project initiatives from inception to completion at varying stages of their product lifecycle.
- Maintaining existing IT systems and understanding their interaction with business process.
- Helping deploy new IT systems, including testing support and end user training.
- Operational support and business / IT compliance and internal controls reporting.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Studying for a degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field, or studying for a degree with a keen interest in using technology to solve business problems.
- Business experience through university modules, work experience or personal projects would be advantageous.
- Ability to quickly absorb and learn new technologies as the rate of advancement in technology continues to push boundaries.
- Must be a team player, with the ability to manage their own workload and balance multiple tasks / projects at one time.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to express complex concepts in simple terms.
