We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Telecoms Placement Student to join our team specializing in IT Systems for our Corporate/CBS Segment in Peterborough. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer 2026. The requirement of the role is to be onsite 4 days per week as this provides the best experience, so you must be able to travel or relocate to the location.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Use data analytics and insights to make our services better to drive Usage Management & Billing
- Involvement in projects with project management methodology and tasks. New site build outs. Acquisitions and Mergers into Cummins IT standards.
- Analysis of business, user and stakeholder needs; eliciting and documenting
- Supporting and improving IT and related business processes, utilising tools i.e. process flow mapping, value stream mapping, data collection, analysis and general problem solving.
- Support site CBS IT staff with voice moves, adds, and changes on voice systems for both mobile & desk phones.
- Liaison with vendors in the ordering, activating, supporting and deactivating of all mobile equipment.
QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Studying towards a degree in IT, Business or Project Management related subject.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Building knowledge of IT Telecom systems and their interaction with business processes would be beneficial
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
