Placement Student - Specialized Purchasing EMEA

We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialized Purchasing EMEA Placement Student to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Corporate/CBS segment in UK, Peterborough or Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry.

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2027.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Providing dedicated support to one or more sourcing teams within the office.
  • Working with a group of suppliers to assist on Purchase Order management, cost reduction, capacity planning, quality performance and risk mitigation.
  • Specific project work in support of functional objectives.
  • Involvement in Functional Excellence - opportunity to work with other Business Units in the region to help share common processes, tools and resources to better achieve business goals.
  • Data analysis to support Purchasing KPIs and specific project requirements.
  • Engagement with other functions, including Supplier Quality, Material Planning, Finance and Engineering.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Working towards a degree - preferably Engineering or Business related (and not graduating this academic year).
  • IT Skills.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Focus on details.
