We are looking for a talented Multiskilled Maintenance Technician specializing in Manufacturing for our Maintenance Department in Huddersfield, United Kingdom. This is a permanent on-site position, working 35 hours per week with flexibility working shifts.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Carry out preventive, corrective, emergency and predictive maintenance to keep equipment running safely and efficiently.
  • Apply strong electrical and mechanical expertise to troubleshoot issues, reduce downtime, and support continuous improvement.
  • Drive high standards of workmanship by performing maintenance activities using diagrams, manuals, and technical specifications.
  • Support equipment failure analysis and contribute feedback to improve preventive maintenance plans.
  • Help maintain a safe workplace by identifying hazards, following safe systems of work, and promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Lead and guide team members with less experience, acting as a technical resource and supporting knowledge sharing.
  • Work closely with peers and support teams to resolve constraints, enhance processes, and optimize material flow.
  • Participate actively in local TPM initiatives to improve quality, safety, workflow, and team capability.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose faults across electrical and mechanical systems.
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Commitment to safe working practices, quality standards, and continuous learning.

Education/Experience:

  • High school diploma, secondary education certificate, or equivalent experience aligned with applicable regulations.
  • Electrically biased multiskilled or mechatronic background (essential).
  • Significant hands‑on maintenance experience in manufacturing or similar environments.
  • Strong understanding of assembly line and machine tool maintenance.
  • Advantageous experience with PLC troubleshooting (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Mitsubishi) and beneficial exposure to software integration and fault‑finding.

Due to the operational nature and specific job duties of this role, work is required to be completed 100% in person/On-site.
