We are looking for an enthusiastic Planning and Logistics student to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Components Business Segment in Huddersfield. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry.
This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer of 2027.
The requirements are to be onsite part of the week so you will need to be able to travel or relocate to the location on your own behalf.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Working with worldwide project teams, Plant Materials, Order Management, Account Management and Purchasing on new products parts forecast & planning.
- Assist Planning & Logistics with Packaging data collections, system maintenance & improvement projects.
- Assisting Materials with Freight Data and Premium Freight Activities.
- Manipulating and using data to establish the basis for actions.
- Sourcing information, interpreting, developing and implementing solutions to achieve results by set deadlines.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- We are looking for a wide range of applicants studying across a broad range of degrees which could include Business, Supply Chain and Logistics.
- A good level of Microsoft skills including Excel and PowerPoint are required, Power BI would also be advantageous although is not essential.
- Excellent communication, organisational and time management skills in order to work with colleagues from different time zones and cultural backgrounds.
- Willingness to learn and solve problems.
