We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team specializing in Procurement for our Corporate Business in Huddersfield, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
Summary of the course: The Procurement Apprentice role is a developmental position within the Global Procurement Organization. During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days per week, inclusive of 1 day per week for study at Kirklees College. The working hours are 9am-5pm (with flexibility to suit business needs). On completion of this apprenticeship you will gain an administration assistant level 2, which you may be offered the opportunity to later progress onto the Business Administration level 3 qualification.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
- Performing administrative tasks according to established guidelines and procedures so these activities are completed accurately and on time.
- Completing data analysis, using analytical problem-solving tools to draw conclusions and communicate meaningful patterns that drive business insights and assess quality of data.
- Transcribing, typing, formatting and distributing a variety of material (e.g., correspondence, contracts, meeting minutes, reports and presentations) using word processing, presentation, graphics and spreadsheet software.
- Coordinating internal and external meetings. This may include scheduling meeting times, making travel arrangements for attendees, and ensuring that various meeting amenities are available.
- Arranging and hosting site visits of suppliers or colleagues.
- Any other reasonable duties which may be required by the company from time to time, as instructed by or under the direction of your immediate supervisor.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- A minimum of 5 GCSEs Grade A*- C (level 4-9): 5/B or above for English language and Mathematics.
- Action oriented taking on new opportunities and challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm.
- Competent use of Microsoft software packages such as PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
- Effective communication, developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique need of different audiences.
