We are looking for an experienced Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our team in Surrey (B.C.). We offer a $5000 sign-on bonus, relocation, competitive pay and benefits!

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Complete repairs on engine products in a service shop
  • Perform maintenance/repairs utilizing diagnostic tools
  • Maintain detailed records of serviced vehicles
  • Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies
  • Ongoing development/certifications on new and existing Cummins products
  • Maintain own tools

Qualifications:

In order to succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Education, Licenses, Certifications: Commercial or Truck and transport journeyman certification is mandatory for this position. CVIP license is mandatory. Locally valid driving permit (Required). This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Experience: Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products. Experience providing technical advice and coaching to more junior technicians (preferred). Experience with full chassis repairs: Brake Systems, A/C Diagnostics, Chassis Electrical, Transmission Repairs.

About the role:

Working hours are 6:30 am to 5:00 pm Tuesday-Friday (4X10 schedule). Union environment. Salary is $51.13 hourly. Work is mostly on transport trucks and transit buses.

Compensation and Benefits: Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Additional benefits vary between locations and include options such as our Company Pension Plan, Medical/Dental/Life Insurance, Health Savings Account, and a full complement of personal and professional benefits.
