DESCRIPTION
Summary of the course:
The Apprentice role is a developmental position within the commercial vehicle Braking Systems Division. During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days per week, inclusive of 1 day per week for study at college. The working hours are 37 hours per week. On completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a NVQ level 3 qualification.
For the job role on offer, the first-year training will be based on level 2 eal NVQ General Engineering practices.
After completion of the first year the successful applicants will complete the remainder of their training based on level 3 eal NVQ specialist areas relevant to their individual job role.
Responsibilities
- Have direct Interface with key Customers and Suppliers
- Enhancing Customer and Supplier relationships
- Ensure on Time Customer and Supplier Delivery.
- Monitoring status of Supplier Schedules & release to supplier base
- Use Inventory Monitoring Methods, Tracking and Impacts on the business performance
- Be able to gain Key Performance Indicators and Tracking
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
- Essential β 5 GCSEs grade A* to C. This must include a B, or above, in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language (or Welsh as a first language)
- Ability to take ownership of the working environment
- Be able to naturally maintain an infectious positive attitude
- Feel passion towards their work/Engineering, be driven and self-motivated
- Show the ability to be able to make confident decisions in a working environment
