DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an enthusiastic Apprentice to join our team specializing in Production for our Cummins Drivetrain and Braking Systems Division in UK, Cwmbran. During your apprenticeship with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!
Summary of the course:
The Apprentice role is a developmental position within the commercial vehicle Braking Systems Division. During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days per week, inclusive of 1 day per week for study at college. The working hours are 37 hours per week. On completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a NVQ level 3 qualification.
For all the job roles on offer, the first-year training will be based on level 2 eal NVQ General Engineering practices.
After completion of the first year the successful applicants will complete the remainder of their training based on level 3 eal NVQ specialist areas relevant to their individual job role.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Train how to carry out essential fixture/equipment maintenance

Be able to understand and learn programming methods, including CNC, assembly recipes and servo press

Have the ability to learn how to interact and run Industry leading automation, including robot tended machining cells and Automated Guided Vehicle (AGV) material delivery systems

Work effectively as part of a Team

Have the ability to accurately collect, and analyse, data

Learn and understand best practice (APQP) Quality Procedures
QUALIFICATIONS

Essential – 5 GCSEs grade A* to C. This must include a B, or above, in Maths and at least C in Science and English Language (or Welsh as a first language)
