We are looking for an enthusiastic health, safety and environment Apprentice to join our team specializing in health, safety and environment for our Distribution Business Unit across the UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential!, The HSE Apprentice role is a developmental position learning about HSE legislation and how to implement it within an organisation. During the apprenticeship you will work 5 days per week, inclusive of 1 day per fortnight for study via virtual classroom with an external training provider. The working hours are (with flexibility to suit business needs). On completion of this apprenticeship, you will obtain a level 3 qualification in occupational health and safety., In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

Work to gain basic understanding of health, safety and environmental regulations and management systems.

Running projects that add real impact and value across the wider European team.

Provide support across the HSE team with accident/incident investigations

Learning skills in risk management and helping to implement continuous improvement projects.

Build an understanding of HSE culture and help drive improvements across the region.

Participate in health and safety inspection and audit programs.
To be successful in this role you will need the following:

Obtained equivalent of GCSEs in Math’s and English grade C/4 or above and have been a UK resident for 3 years or above.

Must have a full UK driving license.

Be able to take on new opportunities and tough challenges with a sense of urgency, high energy, and enthusiasm but also be able to build partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.

Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.

Being proficient in various IT systems and software and demonstrate a keen eye for accuracy and precision.
