We are looking for an enthusiastic engineering candidate to join our team specializing in engineering for our alternator business in Peterborough, UK. During your apprenticeship, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure needed to become an industry expert and power your potential!
In this role, you will make an impact by:
- Working across multiple engineering departments and providing valuable input towards alternator design.
- Collaborating with design teams to develop efficient and robust alternators.
- Managing projects across functions to ensure product release aligns with customer specifications.
- Supporting customers directly with product configuration and sizing to meet demands.
- Testing alternators to ensure compliance with international codes and standards.
To be successful, you will need:
- GCSE grade 6 or above in maths and 5 or above in Science, plus at least three additional GCSEs at grade 4 or above. Preference for candidates with a GCSE in Engineering or similar technical subjects.
- Evidence of interest in engineering through school projects, extracurricular STEM activities, or relevant work experience.
- Strong skills in mathematics and physics, demonstrating analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
- Initiative, ownership of tasks, and active contribution to team goals.
Working hours are 8:30am - 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, and 8:30am - 3:30pm on Friday, subject to change based on business needs. You will be informed of any adjustments.
