We are looking for an enthusiastic Procurement Finance Placement Student to join our team specializing in Finance for our Corporate/CBS Business segment in Sandwich, Kent, UK. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential! This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence on 29th June, 2026.
Responsibilities:
- Good business partnering & communication skills with the global procurement teams as well as plant finance and procurement finance.
- Working with global plant finance teams to produce a monthly consolidated material variance report by plant and supplier.
- Further reconciliations and presenting of results follow on from this.
- Specific finance month end activity – Preparing journal entries & reconciliations of Balance Sheet accounts and direct material spend analysis.
- Involvement in Site Employee Development groups – opportunity to get involved in leading projects, presenting within these groups and engagement with other group members.
- Data analysis to support cost reduction initiatives producing a monthly global consolidated report by individual cost reduction project.
- Lead, as well as participate in, some project work within the team.
Qualifications:
- Working towards a degree in Accounting & Finance or degree in a relevant field (business, maths, economics) with accounting.
- Intermediate level of excel and ability to work with large amounts of data.
- Strong analytical & organisational skills, attention to detail and focused.
- Good communication skills with ability to work on own initiative or as part of a team.
