This role is for an enthusiastic Sales Application Engineer Placement Student in our Power Systems Business Segment in Peterborough. During your placement, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential. This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence in Summer 2026.
Responsibilities
- Support the department on key tasks and projects working both independently and within teams.
- Support delivery of technical seminars in the factory and onsite.
- Work in a team environment and learn how to make decisions in a collaborative way.
- Provide technical support to Dealers & Distributors.
- Interact with different functions and Cummins factories worldwide.
- Sourcing, interpreting, and developing technical data and work towards agreed deadlines.
Qualifications
- We are looking for a wide range of students currently towards an Electrical/Mechanical/Automotive Engineering degree.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with a willingness to learn new skills.
- Good Microsoft Office skills are required, including Excel; CAD skills would also be beneficial although not essential.
- Flexible and proactive attitude with a desire to learn and take on responsibilities.
