We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Network Student to join our team specializing in systems and information technology for our Corporate/Cummins Business Services Unit in Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential! This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence Summer 2026. The expectation will be for the successful candidate to be onsite at least 3 days per week to get the best experience.
Responsibilities
- Working with the Europe Network Support Team based in our Cummins Darlington office.
- Performing Network Admin functions
- Executing Switch and WIFI inventory management.
- Completing LAN configuration compliance management.
- Ensuring the completion of Project Engineering & documentation.
- Working on the Ekahau WIFI survey.
- Ensuring Problem/Infrastructure Request Ticket resolution
Qualifications
- Studying and IT related degree with focus on Networks.
- A willingness to learn and receptive to feedback
- Some knowledge of IT Network functions
- Experience working in a team
