We are looking for an enthusiastic Digital Manufacturing Engineer student to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Regional Operating Team segment in Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential! This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence in July 2026.

Responsibilities

  • Support continuous improvement activities within the manufacturing environment to enhance efficiency, productivity, and quality
  • Line balancing & Process Breakdown definition
  • Develop and implement digital twins to simulate and optimize manufacturing processes
  • Conduct research on new technologies to ensure the manufacturing operations remain at the forefront of industry advancements
  • Utilize 3D modeling software, such as 3DX and DELMIA, to design, analyze, and improve manufacturing systems and processes
  • Collaborate with others to integrate digital solutions into existing manufacturing workflows, ensuring seamless operations

Qualifications

  • Studying BEng or MEng in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Management, Mechanical Engineering or STEM degree
  • IT competent with working knowledge of Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint); experience with 3D modeling software would be beneficial
  • Good communication and influential skills
  • Positive attitude, strong personal motivation, and an effective member of a team
