  • Mornings: Monday to Friday 6:45am – 2:45pm
  • Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 3pm – 11pm, Friday 3pm – 10.30pm.
Description
We are looking for talented Material Operators to join our team specializing in delivering material to our manufacturing production lines at Cummins in Daventry, UK.
Working 37.5 hours per week on a weekly rotating shift pattern of:
  • Mornings: Monday to Friday 6:45am – 2:45pm
  • Afternoons: Monday to Thursday 3pm – 11pm, Friday 3pm – 10.30pm.
This role is a temporary contract for up to 24 months with the potential to become permanently dependent based on performance and business needs.
The job involves using various Powered Industrial Vehicles (PIVs) to deliver material lineside, which ranges from small to large kits.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
  • Adhere to all health and safety protocols.
  • Ensure material is lineside in a timely manner meeting production targets.
  • Ensure quality standards meet the requirements of the business.
  • Follow process documentation.
  • Escalate all part issues and safety concerns to supervision immediately.
  • Liaise with supervision on all aspects affecting the smooth running of the operation.
  • To be flexible within materials as appropriate, dependent on volume and priority.
  • Complete all daily inspection checks inclusive of 5S, PIV and Crane.
Responsibilities
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
  • Previous material delivery experience is beneficial, but training will be given to the right candidate.
  • Previously held PIV licensing is an advantage.
  • Teamwork and good communication.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work under their own initiative whilst completing operational tasks.
  • Ability to self-manage to achieve production targets.
Qualifications
Education/ Experience:
  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
