We are looking for an enthusiastic Supplier Quality student to join our team specializing in Quality for our Supplier Quality business unit in Daventry. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and power your potential.

Responsibilities

  • Support Power Systems VPI programs APQP and PPAP activities of High, Med & Low risk suppliers.
  • Maintain, track and update Cummins Quality Systems Management (CQMS), Source Release and PPAP activities through reporting and administration.
  • Support Component / Supplier risk assessments with supplier selection and Supplier visits.
  • Complete 6 Sigma Yellow Belt Certification and lead a 6 Sigma Green Belt project to improve Supplier Quality processes.
  • Identify, track, and work with others to resolve project issues.
  • Participate in community engagement as part of Cummins commitment to Corporate Responsibility.

Qualifications

  • Working towards a degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a Business-related degree (Supply chain / Quality / Project Management).
  • Self-motivated and confident to work independently with proactive time management and prioritization of tasks.
  • Active participation and contribution as a team member, including strong cross-functional communication skills and able to define and solve problems in a disciplined approach.
  • Excellent computer skills – MS Office including Teams, Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint.
