We are looking for an experienced CNC Machinist to join our team specialising in Manufacturing for our Operations Support department in Huddersfield, United Kingdom.

Location: Huddersfield, United Kingdom

Contract: Permanent

Salary: £35,000 + 19% shift allowance for mid shift

Working Hours: 35 hours per week, mid shift: Monday – Friday, 3pm – 10:15pm

Key Responsibilities

  • Set, operate, and maintain CNC lathes, milling machines, and grinders.
  • Adjust tool offsets and datums to ensure precision machining.
  • Carry out detailed inspections using CMM machines and attribute gauges.
  • Work within the Bearing Housing machining area, supporting multiple CNC processes and machine types as part of a multi‑skilled team.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in CNC turning and milling of metal components.
  • Hands‑on machining experience with a strong understanding of precision tolerances and measuring equipment.
  • Proactive mindset with strong initiative and problem‑solving ability.
  • Effective communication skills, with the ability to support and train others.
  • Strong sense of accountability and commitment to team objectives.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Experience within a machine shop environment.
