Travel Services Apprentice Overview
The Travel Services Apprentice role is a developmental position within the Travel and Expense Services function.
The apprenticeship runs 5 days per week, including 1 day per week for study at Darlington College.
Working hours are 37.5 per week with flexibility to suit business needs.
Upon completion, you will obtain a Level 3 Business Administration qualification.
This role offers experience across Europe, Africa and the Middle East, supporting employees across multiple business units.
Responsibilities
- Supporting day‑to‑day administration of the Cummins Corporate Card and Purchasing Card programmes across the UK, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
- Managing and responding to queries via Microsoft Teams and email regarding Travel and Expense services.
- Delivering a high standard of customer service to internal stakeholders and external partners.
- Responding to employee queries and providing guidance on Travel and Expense processes.
- Assisting with preparation and distribution of reports for Business Units on a monthly and ad‑hoc basis.
- Assisting with expense auditing within Concur and App Zen, applying sound judgement and attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Minimum of GCSE Maths and English at Grade 5/B (or equivalent); all other subjects at 4/c or above.
- A‑Level qualifications Grades A–E (Business or travel and tourism) desirable.
- Previous work experience or voluntary experience advantageous.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- High level of attention to detail.
