We are looking for a talented Senior Solution Engineer to join our team specializing in Systems/Information Technology for Cummins Peterborough, Cambridgeshire, United Kingdom. Applications are encouraged from both the UK and India. Two vacancies are available, and the final hiring location will depend on the candidate pool and market conditions. UK-based employees are expected to work on site a minimum of 60% of the time, with flexibility for the remaining days.
Responsibilities
- Provide Level 2 application support for Oracle Fusion SaaS solutions, troubleshooting complex functional and technical issues while ensuring timely resolution and system stability.
- Analyze and gather business and technical requirements to design, document, and deliver fit-for-purpose technology solutions that align with business objectives, enterprise architecture, and security standards.
- Design, configure, test, and maintain Oracle Fusion, AI-powered solutions, and related technologies, including Agentic AI, Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, and other automation tools.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, cross‑functional teams, vendors, and IT service providers to ensure seamless solution implementation, integration, and continuous improvement of system performance and quality.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, including solution designs, architecture diagrams, workflows, configuration guides, and integration specifications to support ongoing operations and future enhancements.
- Lead technical analysis and evaluation of solution options, assessing commercial off‑the‑shelf products, custom‑built solutions, and AI‑driven capabilities to determine the best technical fit and business value.
- Support solution testing, data migration, and integration validation activities, ensuring data accuracy, system interoperability, and compliance with quality, cybersecurity, privacy, and performance requirements.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for assigned applications and technologies, providing recommendations to improve business processes, increase adoption of standard platform capabilities, and drive innovation through AI and automation solutions.
Qualifications
- Key skills: Experience in implementing AI solutions, agentic AI, AI automation or related. Oracle BIP Publisher Developer experience, including SQL, PL/SQL and data models. Experience with Fusion extensions (API's, groovy scripts).
- Nice to have: Experience with any of Oracle Fusion SaaS modules (Manufacturing, Inventory, WMS, Finance, OM, Supply Planning, Purchasing, Demand Planning). Experience in managing small projects.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, with experience implementing AI solutions, Agentic AI, AI automation, and other emerging AI technologies.
