We are looking for a talented Manufacturing Operator DOT (Test) to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Engine Test department at Cummins in Daventry, UK. This is a temporary contract for up to 24 months with the potential to become permanent depending on performance and business needs.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shifts: Weekly rotational shift pattern

  • Morning shift: Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 3:00pm
  • Afternoon shift: Monday to Thursday, 3:00pm – 11:00pm; Friday, 3:00pm – 10:30pm

The job involves preparation of production engines for testing ranging from 38 to 78 litres. Prepare engines ready for trim when test is complete. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Ensure quality standards meet the requirements of the business
  • Follow stage process documentation
  • Report on supervision of any problems within the work stage
  • Liaise with supervision on all aspects affecting the smooth running of the operation
  • Be flexible within DOT as appropriate, dependent on volume and priority
  • Complete all daily checks

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Previous assembly or factory experience
  • Strong mechanical background
  • Ability to work under their own initiative within the recognised process
  • Ability to self-manage in order to achieve production targets

Education / Experience:

High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
